BRIEF SUMMARY
DEUTERONOMY 10:12
And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul
There is nothing out there in this world except you love God
You might this k that if someone is living in abroad the person has got
Living overseas, influence, money, fame etc doesn’t actually amount to anything in this world.
In certain parts of the world today, they don’t serve and fear God anymore and it is terrible and you would not want to live there
Don’t fight to go and live overseas, rather, fight to FEAR GOD!
There are certain bad attitudes out there that makes people think because they have money they don’t need the word of God .
All forms of evil abounds in places where there is no fear for God….. Homosexuality, murder, dishonoring etc
They want everything apart from the word of God
This thing did not happen overnight, it is a gradual process that will catch up with anyone who does not examine his life with the word of God
2 Timothy 3:5
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
What does God wants from you or require from thee?
Nothing is forever so we need to prepare for our eternity
Remember there will come a time where your earthly wealth and the things you are chasing will become meaningless.
How do you fear God ?.
Fearing of God is practical….
The fear of the lord is a spirit and if you don’t have it, fearing God will be difficult for you
Anybody who does not fear God does not have that aspect of the Holy Spirit
ISAIAH 11:2
And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
1) the spirit of Wisdom : this is talking about the spirit of godly wisdom and not the wisdom of the world
When we say the wisdom of God we are dealing with the way you think , behave and what you act on .
The kind of wisdom you have determines how you give, pray or work for God.
2) the spirit of Understanding
HEBREWS 10:24
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
You need the Holy spirit in order to understand how things work
It’s understanding that helps you to know that nothing happens “suddenly”
You must give your best to God now. You don’t need to be old to get this understanding.
How you will spend the first 25 years of your life will determine how you will spend your next 45 years
3) The spirit of Counsel
Counsel means advise .
You might not be called to be advised but as the word of God is being preached, God is advising you to know what to do .
By the reason of understanding and wisdom, you need to repeat the listening of messages.
By the repetitions of a matter, something is established
If you are not consistent in anything God will not reward you.
It is required that you become faithful and faithfulness means consistency
4) The spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD:
There are certain blessings that comes with the fear of the lord .
The fear of the Lord helps a person to give reverence to God.
This actually helps you to do what God says all the time eg to always go to church, love your neighbor, give your tithe, work for God etc
John 5:3 ►
In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome
All that God is commanding us is to our own good and it’s something we can do.
Obeying God is a BLESSING and not a BURDEN
JESUS IS ALIVE 🙏
